Sanke Postcards
Boelcke, Oswald commander of the Royal Prussian Jagdstaffel 2. Boelcke was killed in an accident two days after he had scored his 40th victory on the 28th of October, 1918. Great signature minty card. SOLD
Oswald Boelcke and Max Immelmann. I assume that this was taken during the time that Boelcke was commander of Jasta 2. This is Sanke card No. 373 and is 5 3/8" x 3 3/8".This Sanke is in absolute mint condition, the signatures are also mint, however the signatures are across the darkest part of the card. | Theodor Eicke, October 17, 1892-February 26. 1943. Eicke was considered to be one of the nastiest people in the Nazi Party. He won the Iron Cross for Bravery during WWI. Took command of an SS regiment in 1932. During the night of "Night of the Long Knives" Eicke killed Ernst Roehn in his jail cell at Hitlers request. In this purge he also killed several others for Hitler. He was named head of the "Deaths Head Units" shortly after. He was placed in command of the Waffen SS troops on the Eastern Front. He was killed in a plane crash when his plane was shot down behind enemy lines near Orella. Mint ink signiture on heavy paper stock 3 9/16"x5 1/8".
